This JKR (Public Work Department) Kedah Adidas Jacket was worn by Jamaludin Hassan (Kedah football legend) in
1979/1980. It was also worn in the Quarter Final of FAM Cup 1979
between JKR Kedah vs PKNS Selangor. In this match there were football legends
from both sides such as Roshidi Shaari (Kedah), Jamaludin
Hassan (Kedah), Rosli Mohammad (Kedah), Soh
Chin Aun (Selangor), Santokh Singh (Selangor),
R. Arumugam (Selangor) and Mokhtar Dahari (Selangor). This match was a memorable and competitive match whereby JKR Kedah and
PKNS Selangor were both strong teams at that time. However, what makes it more memorable and unforgettable is because of the clash that happened between both teams and lead to the football riot between both team fans in
Darulaman Stadium, Kedah. Unfortunately, JKR Kedah lost 1-2 to PKNS Selangor in
this match. This Quarter Final of FAM Cup 1979 between JKR Kedah vs PKNS
Selangor has marked in the Kedah & Selangor football history that cannot be
forgotten.
