Kedah in Malaysia Cup 1986

     In Malaysia Cup 1986, Kedah qualified to the quarter final round. In the first quarter final round on 9 April 1986, Kedah lost to Singapore 0-5 at the National Stadium of Singapore. Then, in the second quarter final round on 13 April 1986, Kedah won against Singapore with the score 1-0 at the Darulaman Stadium, Kedah. However, Kedah lost to Singapore with the aggregate of 1-5 and did not qualify for the semi final round. During these games, Kedah got many talented players such as Jamaludin Hassan, Ahmad Sobri, Azmi Mahmud, Chan Keat Swee, Ng Chew Beng, Rahman Taso, Zulkifli Mahmud, Ravichandran Kanawathi, Norazam Ishak and many more. However, its not the time yet in 1986 for Kedah to lift the Malaysia Cup. It was Selangor who won the Malaysia Cup 1986 by beating Johor with the score 6-1.
