Kelantan in Malaysia Cup 1986

     In Malaysia Cup 1986, Kelantan qualified to the quarter final round. In the first quarter final round on 9 April 1986, Kelantan draw with Selangor 0-0 at Sultan Muhammad IV, Kota Bharu, Kelantan. Then, in the second quarter final round on 13 April 1986, Kelantan lost to Selangor with the score 2-4 at the Merdeka Stadium, Kuala Lumpur. However, Kelantan lost to Selangor with the aggregate of 2-4 and did not qualify for the semi final round. During these games, Kelantan got many talented players such as Hashim Mustapha, Kamaruzaman Yusuf, Salim Mahmud, Wan Ezila, Zahasmi Ismail, Haniff Idris and many more. However, its not the time yet in 1986 for Kelantan to lift the Malaysia Cup. It was Selangor who won the Malaysia Cup 1986 by beating Johor with the score 6-1.
